Aim

Our aim is to help people with particular transport problems:

  • Elderly

  • Learning difficulties
  • Mental health
  • Young families
Or are unable to use public transport nor afford taxis.

We may be able to help if you need:

  • To visit the doctor, the hospital or clinic
  • To go shopping, pick up prescriptions or allowances
  • To visit sick friends or relatives
  • To deal with important personal business
  • To go on holiday

Referrals are also taken from:
  • GP Surgeries
  • Social workers
  • Hospitals
  • Community nurse
  • Voluntary organisations
  • Carers
What will it cost?

Our fee has been calculated to help cover the driver’s costs and our administration.

Most of the sum charged is returned to the driver to pay for the petrol and to help towards vehicle running costs.

The small balance goes towards our office expenses (telephone bills and postage etc).
Charges vary but are for the driver’s whole journey from leaving home to returning. Waiting time is not charged but, if excessive, for local journeys it may be necessary for the driver to make a double journey which will be charged accordingly.

Invoices are sent at the end of each month.
